Zack Wheeler allowed one run over 4 1/3 innings on Thursday in a Grapefruit League start against the Tigers.
Wheeler piled up five strikeouts and only issued one walk.
He there 43 of his 66 pitches for strikes and allowed just four baserunners.
The 32-year-old ace has surrendered 11 runs on 15 hits with a 9/3 K/BB ratio across 10 2/3 inning (four starts) this spring.
