ZACH ERTZ NEEDS TO BE A MUCH BIGGER PART OF THE EAGLES’ OFFENSE!

By Peter Gleason

Here’s some free advice for Eagles coach Chip Kelly:

If you want to generate more offense — or any offense! — try taking the wraps off tight end Zach Ertz.

I know you are easing him back in after he underwent delicate groin surgery six weeks ago. But he seems to be none the worse for wear, and the Birds could use him a lot more.

This is Ertz’ third year. It’s time for him to become the player the Eagles expected when they made him a high second-round pick. But he needs the ball to do it.

Ertz has six catches in two games. He needs more. If Bradford isn’t gong to go downfield with the ball, then get it to Ertz and see what happens.

Kelly is great at getting mismatches with the defense, and Ertz is the toughest matchup the Eagles have right now.
