“I think they miss him tremendously,” Richard Sherman said of D-Jax.

After the Eagles were completely shut down by the Seahawks yesterday, you didn’t need a seer to predict that someone would raise this issue:

How would the Birds have done yesterday if DeSean Jackson were still wearing a green No. 10 instead of the red of the Redskins.

“I think they miss him tremendously,” All-Pro cornerback Richard Sherman said of the current Redskins receiver who was cut last March after a spectacular 2013. “He was an incredible threat — still a threat in this league. You can tell by things he’s doing out there in Washington.”

Said Sherman of Philly’s current wideouts: “We never felt threatened.”

With Jeremy Maclin, Riley Cooper and Jordan Matthews combining for just eight catches and 57 total yards, Sherman has the right to talk. Kelly after the game called him the “best corner in the league.”

Seahawks linebacker K.J. Wright chimed in, too, saying of Kelly’s scheme, per NJ.com: “I’ll tell you, when I watching film, I was a little surprised how basic their offense was.”

Still, there’s no denying Philly’s big-play ability. After leading the league last season in throws of 20-plus and 40-plus yards, the Eagles this year rank second in passes of 20-plus yards (52) and sixth on lobs beyond 40 yards (10).

The Eagles have proven all season that they can aggressively move the ball. It’s just that nobody’s doing that against Seattle’s defense right now.
