Gregory Soto remains absent from Phillies’ spring training due to ongoing visa issues.
Soto is scheduled to pitch in next month’s World Baseball Classic, but that might not happen if he’s unable to report to Phillies’ camp in the near future.
The 28-year-old southpaw from the Dominican Republic was acquired from the Tigers in an offseason trade and figures to pitch in a setup role this year for Philadelphia. Stay tuned.
