Recently, Sports Illustrated rolled out an interesting piece in which various scouts broke down every NBA team. And while the scout looking into the Sixers had questions about who can step up and be the team’s top option after Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid, the comments on Fultz stood out:
“Who can create his own shot, because they have a bunch of catch-and-shoot guys. I know Ben is really good, but outside of creating catch-and-shoot opportunities, he has a lot of room to grow when you need to get a bucket. That’s where Golden State and Boston are so unique, they have a bunch of guys who can put it on the floor and shoot. They can do both . . . That’s where the Sixers need Markelle Fultz to come in, and you have no idea what’s going to happen there. If I’m him, I embrace being the sixth man.”
