Soon after the Eagles went up 14-3 on the Dallas Cowboys last Sunday, the Cowboys offense discovered rookie CB Michael Jacquet.
Soon after, they beat Jacquet every way — up, down and sideways — for yardage and touchdowns. By the time DC Jim Schwartz looked up the blowout was on with the Cowboys bum-rushing the Eagles out of Texas 37-17, leaving the Birds in tatters.
Not just for the final game of the season next Sunday, but the future with the once Super Bowl winner appearing burned out, looking for new direction, a fresh perspective.
Not many fans in Philly believe Doug Pederson and Howie Roseman can get the job done anymore.
Other teams do it, the Eagles must too. New blood, new outlook, fix the defense which has dragged this team down the past four years! Get linebackers who can play, Penn State all world LB Micah Parsons will be there when the Birds pick near the top of 2021’s NFL draft, grab him, find some cornerbacks, safeties who can hit.
I doubt the regime in place can do it, so move on and find player personnel guys who can get the job done!
Eagles will finish out this terrible season next Sunday, January 3, versus the Washington Football Team, 8:20pm/NBC
