As the NBA’s new calendar year gets closer, the 76ers off-season moves are taking shape,.
No doubt president of basketball operations Daryl Morey will take aim at the bench players, a group who were woefully unproductive last season and contributed to the early exit in the playoffs against the Heat.
Two scorers who could help strengthen the second unit would be PJ Tucker, recently of the Heat, a tough 3-and-D player who would give the toughness and scoring they desperately need. Tucker recently opted out of his contract to hit the open market.
Another scorer is Eric Gordon who played last year with Rockets. Wth his 3-point ability shooting, averaging 41.2% from 3 point land last season, Gordon would give the Sixers much improved scoring when the starters sit.
Morey should be able to swing a deal to get this above average sharpshooter for next season, we shall see.
