Cornerback James Bradberry was great with the New York Giants in 2020.
Last season not so much.
Then was cut in a salary-cap move.
The Eagles signed him to a one-year deal.
Bradberry will get a lot of attention opposite Darius Slay.
If he plays at a Pro Bowl level again, it can help the Eagles go to a new level.
Then Bradberry can perhaps get one more big contract again at age 29.
And yesterday, ESPN released its list of bounce-back candidates for this season and they included Eagles cornerback James Bradberry on their list:
WHAT WENT WRONG: AFTER A CAREER-BEST SEASON IN 2020, BRADBERRY HAD ARGUABLY A CAREER-WORST CAMPAIGN IN 2021. HE ALLOWED THE HIGHEST COMPLETION PERCENTAGE OF HIS SIX-YEAR CAREER BY A WIDE MARGIN (65.2%). IT’S NOT TOO WORRISOME, HOWEVER, AS HIS BALL PRODUCTION WAS STILL THERE, WITH FOUR PICKS AND 13 PASS BREAKUPS. — PFF
OUTLOOK FOR 2022: EARLY SIGNS INDICATE BRADBERRY IS POISED TO BOUNCE BACK.
BRADBERRY LIKES IT BEST WHEN HE IS ASKED TO PLAY A HEALTHY MIXTURE OF MAN AND ZONE COVERAGES, WHICH SHOULD BE A MATCH FOR DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR JONATHAN GANNON’S SYSTEM. — TIM MCMANUS
