WHY EAGLES WILL GO 10-6, MAKE THE PLAYOFFS AND A SUPE RUN!

By Jerry Wein

The Eagles cut down to their 53 yesterday and head to DC next Sunday to play the Washington Football Team in their opener.

Carson Wentz, who carried a 27-7 TD-INT ratio into the playoffs despite an all-time-depleted receiving corps, will finally recapture his MVP form.

The Eagles’ receiving corps will be back back by October, and Darius Slay (above) enhances their defensive capabilities.

Pro Bowl guard Brandon Brooks again surmounts an Achilles tear, returning in December for a Super Bowl-bound Philly squad.

That’s the best-case scenario.

Here’s the worst case:

The injuries to Brooks, left tackle Andre Dillard and Philly’s receivers leave too much work for Wentz and Zach Ertz.

The Eagles go .500 and miss the seven-team playoff bracket, leaving an aging Super Bowl LII nucleus at a crossroads.

Our prediction: 10-6
