Why are the Eagles reportedly trying to keep offensive coordinator Jonathan Gannon from taking the Cards top job?
Gannon was the mastermind who decided not to bring a heavy blitz on Patrick Mahomes in the Super Bowl, which resulted in no sacks and a Chiefs victory.
They could lose Gannon to the Cardinals, but the Eagles are trying not to lose him, according to SI.com’s Albert Breer.
I have heard, for what it’s worth, that the Eagles have made an effort to keep Gannon in the fold, with the Arizona interest having been rumored for a while.
The Cardinals are expected to make an announcement early this week.
Gannon appears to be the favorite.
