Why are the Eagles on the verge of signing a fourth quarterback?
McLeod Bethel-Thompson is reportedly set to re-sign with the team, according to ESPN’s Adam Caplan.
The 28-year-old quarterback and entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the 49ers in 2011 under Jim Harbaugh.
Bethel-Thompson had three stints with San Francisco, staying on as a third-stringer and practice squad quarterback.
Other teams in the NFL he’s played for include the Miami Dolphins, Minnesota Vikings and New England Patriots.
In addition to Sam Bradford and Carson Wentz, the Eagles have veteran passer Chase Daniel.
