Phils Zack Wheeler hurled four shutout innings in a no-decision the Blue Jays.
Wheeler was on a limited pitch count in his return to the Phillies’ starting rotation following a one-month absence due to a right forearm strain and departed after an efficient 58 pitches (38 strikes) over four flawless frames.
He scattered a pair of hits and finished with three strikeouts before handing the ball over to the Phillies’ bullpen.
The 32-year-old right-hander figures to be close to a regular workload when he faces the Cubs on Tuesday at Wrigley Field his next time out.
