WHEELER’S ALL-STAR SNUB REALLY A SHOT AT GET-NO-RESPECT PHILS!

By Art Beitchman

After a very rocky start to the 2022 season, the firing of Joe Girardi as manager the Phillies have made a huge about face with a current 46-40, good enough for a wild card playoff spot as of today.

Phillies ace Zack Wheeler has been front and center in that resurgence, yet he was snubbed for a spot on the NL’s ALL-Star team!

Wheeler has been fantastic this season with an 8-4 record, 2.46 ERA with 104 strikeouts. He’s also shut out the St. Louis Cardinals twice in the last two outings, the same Cardinals they have passed in the WC standing the last week.

Wheeler getting left off is really a direct shot at the Phillies and what they’ve done since canning Girardi.

But Wheeler earned that All-Star spot, he can also be added to the roster before the game is played next week, but it’s a travesty he wasn’t named already.
