Zack Wheeler recorded seven strikeouts over five shutout innings in a win over the Nationals.

Wheeler scattered a pair of hits and needed just 77 pitches (51 strikes) to navigate five innings before the heavy rain hit Washington D.C.

The 32-year-old right-hander missed a significant chunk of the 2022 campaign due to injury and finishes with a pristine 2.82 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 163/34 K/BB ratio across 153 innings (26 starts).

His next start could come on Friday against the Cardinals for the Phillies’ first postseason game in 11 years.
