The Lakers and Pacers have discussed a trade involving Russell Westbrook, Myles Turner and Buddy Hield, but Marc Stein reports that “no deal is close.”
L.A. “did attach unspecified draft compensation,” but apparently not enough to entice Indiana to absorb Westbrook and his $47 million salary.
All three players mentioned have been staples of the trade-rumor mill for a while, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see L.A. and Indiana re-engage in the near future. For now, it’s a wait-and-see situation.
