Seth Joyner is one of the greatest defenders in the history of this blue-collar franchise, and he played on the Eagles’ best defensive unit — Buddy Ryan’s from 1986 through 1991, when he was chosen by Sports Illustrated as Defensive Player of the Year.
His 13-season career stats compare favorably with HOF linebackers like Sam Huff and Ray Lewis, and if there is any justice he will make it to Canton before too long.
But for now we’d like to go on record as nominating him to be the Eagles next defensive coordinator.
If he had been in charge the night of February 12, we would have had another parade already.
Now that the massively overrated and outcoached Jonathan Gannon has left, why exactly aren’t the Eagles talking to Seth Joyner?
And he wants the job:
