Former LSU pitching ace Aaron Nola notched his first major league strikeout on an 0-2 breaking pitch to Steven Souza Jr. of the Tampa Bay Rays. Nola made his major league debut Tuesday with the Phillies.
The first-inning strikeout came after Nola allowed a leadoff double to the base of the wall in right-center field by John Jaso.
