Want to know how badly things are going for Shady McCoy, the NFL’s leading rusher in 2013 who has come up way short this season?
During the first quarter of the Eagles’ game against St. Louis on Sunday, McCoy caught a screen pass from Nick Foles and what happened afterward wasn’t pretty. Even though the Eagles running back was immediately surrounded by at least five Rams defensive players, McCoy still tried to make something happen.
What ended up happening though was this: McCoy ran backwards six yards, then fumbled the ball, which the Rams recovered. Running backwards sometimes works, but on Sunday not so much.
