Just call it the Tuesday Night of Horrors in the AP Top 25 as top-ranked Villanova, No. 2-ranked Kansas and No. 4-ranked Kentucky all were knocked off:
Katin Reinhardt hit two free throws with 11.6 seconds left, Jalen Brunson (above) missed a layup at the buzzer, and host Marquette (14-6, 5-3 Big East) beat top-ranked Villanova (19-2, 7-2) by 74-72, overcoming a 17-point deficit.
WEST VIRGINIA 85, KANSAS 69 Esa Ahmad broke out of a shooting slump with a career-high 27 points, leading No. 18 West Virginia (16-4, 5-3 Big 12) to a home victory over No. 2 Kansas (18-2, 7-1).
TENNESSEE 82, KENTUCKY 80 Robert Hubbs III scored 25 points, and host Tennessee (11-9, 4-4 Southeastern Conference) ended a seven-game winning streak for No. 4 Kentucky (17-3, 7-1).
