Next up for Jay Wright’s Cats is DePaul Saturday afternoon in Chicago.

Villanova’s 78-58 loss at Georgetown last Monday night cost the Cats three sports in the AP coaches poll.
They dropped from No. 4 to No. 7 and probably would have fallen further if they hadn’t waxed Creighton on Sunday.
Kentucky stays atop the AP poll again, gaining one first-place vote back from Virginia to be one vote away from unanimous.
There wasn’t a ton of movement in the top-20 of the poll this week. Iowa State was the biggest faller, dropping from No. 9 to 15. No team rose more than two places. Mostly, teams just reshuffled slightly. Near the bottom of the poll, Georgetown, Miami (FL) and Butler replaced Iowa, Seton Hall and Dayton. Georgetown moved all the way up to 21st after thrashing Villanova 78-58 last week, and then consolidated it by beating Marquette in overtime.
However, next week should bring some different results and should shuffle up the teams. In the ACC alone, No. 4 Duke plays No. 2 Virginia, No. 4 Duke plays No. 8 Notre Dame, No. 10 Louisville plays No. 13 North Carolina, and No. 13 North Carolina plays No. 2 Virginia. That alone will give us quite a bit of shuffling next week. Plus, there is the gauntlet of the Big East and Big 12, as well as some interesting Big Ten games.
College hoops kicks into high gear this week. So sit back and enjoy the show.
