VEGAS THINKS PHILS ZACK WHEELER CAN STOP THE CARNAGE!

By Sam Bush and Skip Charles in Vegas

The Phillies tonight are sending Zack Wheeler (1-2, 3.80 ERA, 1.31 WHIP, 26 strikeouts) out to face the Cardinals: Adam Wainwright (0-2, 5.03 ERA, 1.48 WHIP, 24 strikeouts).

And Vegas thinks Wheeler can be the stopper the 10-11 Phils need after last night’s total pitching failure that gave up 12 runs in Colorado.
