You don’t have to travel too far in the wayback machine to remember what Eagles boy wonder GM Howie Roseman said after the sorry-ass 2020 season ended at 4-11-1:
“We need to infuse youth into this team.”
Well, 20-somethings Jalen Mills and Rudy Ford are gone to the Pats and Jags.
And there are still have 10 starters age 30 or older on the roster.
What’s up with that?
While other teams are busy signing youngsters, the buzz is that the Birds are hot for 28-year-old Colts quarterback Jacoby Brissett, who was with new Eagles coach Nick Sirianni for three years.
At least Brissett is under 30, and it won’t eat up too much cash to sign him as Jalen Hurts understudy.
So the draft is the next benchmark on April 29.
Let’s hope everyone they take will be younger than 30.
