UNLIKE SIXERS, THE CELTS GOT SMART TO BEAT THE HEAT!

By Jerry Wein

Marcus Smart ended the Celtics’ 127-102 blowout win over Miami with 24 points, 12 assists, nine rebounds, three steals and a block.

Smart finished one board shy of a triple-double and led Boston to a comfortable series-tying victory, making his presence felt on both ends after he was forced to sit out of Tuesday’s Game 1.

Smart averaged 16.0 points, 8.5 assists, 6.0 rebounds and 3.0 triples across the final two wins against Milwaukee in the Eastern Conference semis.

He’ll be back in Game 3 on Saturday back in Boston where the Celtics will have a chance to go up 2-1 in the series.
