Tyrese Maxey played 32 minutes off the bench in the Sixers’ 119-108 win over the Knicks:
27 points (9-of-16 FGs, 4-of-5 FTs), two assists, three steals, and five 3-pointers.
Filling the sixth-man role in 11 of the last 12 games, Maxey has scored 22 points or more in four of those bench appearances, including Friday’s solid performance.
He stepped up in a big way, which was needed due to the struggles of De’Anthony Melton. Melton played 19 minutes, scoring five points with one rebound, one assist, and one 3-pointer.
Maxey offers more offensively, but Melton is the better defender, which may be keeping him in the starting lineup.
27 PTS | 2 AST | 3 STL
A Tyrese Takeover. 🔥
