TURNBULL TOOK NO-HITTER INTO 7TH: WHY WOULD PHILS REPLACE HIM IN ROTATION WITH WALKER?

By Sally Fahey

Spencer Turnbull allowed just one hit over seven innings in the Phillies’ 7-0 shutout of the White Sox.

Turnbull had a no-hitter into the seventh when Gavin Sheets broke it up, but he wasn’t going to be allowed to finish it anyway.

He’s supposed to head back to the bullpen next week after Taijuan Walker returns (he’s due to make one more start first), but thatn makes no sense.

He’s 2-0 with a 1.23 ERA in four starts.
