Aside from blowing a 9th-inning lead yesterday and losing to the LA Dodgers, the Phils took 3 out of 4 from one of the best teams in baseball.
And they had a good road trip going 5-2 and clawing their way back in the NL East standings at 17-18.
The torrid hitting of MVP Bryce Harper has powered the Phils lately, hitting .305 with 9 home runs and 27 RBI’s.
The lineup that was mashing out of Florida is finally showing up in the regular season, top to bottom scoring runs most Phils fans hoped they would see when the team came north six weeks ago.
With the Padres and Dodgers coming in on this home stand, the Phils have tough teams to compete with, if the offensive firepower continues they can rise in the NL standings in thier quest to make the playoffs for the 1st time in over a decade.
