TAIJUAN WALKER ERA UP TO 5.51: WHY IS HE STILL A PHILS STARTER?

By Sarah Paley

Taijuan Walker allowed six runs (five earned) in six innings and took the Phils loss against the Giants.

Walker allowed nine hits, two walks and struck out four.

He completed six innings for the fourth time in six starts this year, but the five earned runs allowed increased his ERA to 5.51.

After starting 3-0, Walker hasn’t won any of his last three starts. The 31-year-old right-hander is set to face the Cardinals at home this weekend.
