The Panthers-Broncos Super Bowl won’t be played for nine days — Feb. 7 in Santa Clara on CBS3.
But it’s already a landslide!
The Panthers have become the clear favorites for the NFL championship game against the Broncos, with the line moving from Carolina giving 3 1/2 points to the Panthers being favored by 5 1/2 points.
“I can’t remember a more one-sided betting Super Bowl,” William Hill U. S. director of trading Nick Bogdanovich told ESPN.
John Avello, the director race and sports operations at the Wynn and Encore, said that more than 80 percent of the bets have been placed on the Panthers giving 4 1/2 points.
Vegas has seen this movie before, recently. The Patriots were clear favorites over the Broncos last week in the AFC title game, and the Broncos not only covered but won the game straight up.
And that will give Broncos plenty of ammunition for claiming all next week that no one believes in them.
