PHILS OUTLAST DODGERS, SUAREZ LOWERS LAST-3-GAME ERA TO 0.90!

By Jenny Masters

Ranger Suárez allowed only one run in 4 1/3 innings as the Phils beat the Dodgers avoiding a sweep and holding on to first place.

The Braves, who were tied with the Phillies for first place, play the Reds tonight.

It was Suárez’s third start since the Phillies moved him from the bullpen to the rotation, and he has an 0.90 ERA (one earned run in 10 innings) in those three starts.

Bryce Harper ripped an opposite-field solo home run in the first inning to give the Phillies the 1-0 lead. Ronald Torreyes hit a two-out single to center field in the fourth to score Harper, who walked, to give the Phillies a 2-0 lead.
