The Sixers have to trade Ben Simmons.
How do I know they will?
Listen to Sixers coach Doc Rivers after last night’s disastrous game 7 loss to the Hawks in which Simmons again was a no-show.
He was asked if the Sixers could win a championship with Simmons as their point guard?
“I don’t know that question or the answer to that right now,” Rivers said. “So I don’t know the answer to that.”
Simmons did defend himself when a reporter suggested that his All-Star impact of the regular season tends to shrink in the postseason spotlight.
“How many assists did I have?” he asked, referring to his 13 dimes.
“What did Trae [Young] shoot?” he asked, bringing attention to the Hawks star’s 5-for-23 shooting night, with many of those misses coming with Simmons on him.
