The Sixers took their show down the shore on Saturday, and big crowds came out to see the new look team.
The enthusiasm reflected the way ticket sales have gone during this busy off-season.
Sixers CEO Scott O’Neal was quoted by the Inky claiming that more than 1,700 new season tickets had been sold this summer:
New center Jahlil Okafor, the team’s recent first-round draft choice, second-year whiz Nerlens Noel (above) and Big Shot Bob Covington were at the Sixers Beach Bash in Avalon.
Former 76ers stars Darryl Dawkins and World B. Free were also there.
Okafor, Covington, Dawkins and Free mingled with the fans and signed autographs. The Sixers Dancers, a 16-member team, will make their season debut.
The outside area of Beach Bash included inflatables, face painters and interactive games, with Sixers prizes.
