The 76ers’ stretch run for playoff seeding starts Thursday night at home against the Memphis Grizzlies.
These are the last 25 games of the long 82-game marathon, and since getting all their key players back healthy after injury — Joel Embiid, James Harden and Tyrese Maxey — the Sixers have been really good.
In fact they’ve gone 26-7 over the last two months, easily the best in the NBA.
But they’re not getting the credit for being a contender from the national media.
Embiid and Harden have been unstoppable in this 33-game stretch, with Embiid averaging 33 points per game, Harden just under 11 assists, scoring over 20 ppg, not too shabby.
Super guard Maxey has adapted just fine in his 6th man role giving the team much-needed offense with the 2nd unit.
But he’s always on the court in crunch time.
Playoff seedings are now on the line as the NBA season restarts after last weekend’s All-Star game.
