SIXERS' SIZZLING SUMMER IN ORLANDO AND VEGAS

Rookie of the Year Michael Carter-Williams may join the team’s draftees in summer league play

The NBA draft is 23 days away and everybody in the free world and even the Communist world is speculating about whom the Sixers will take with the third and 10th picks.

I don’t know, but what I do know for sure is that Nerlens Noel will be playing alongside those picks in the Orlando Summer league, starting on July 5. Those players will form the nucleus of the team for years to come.

Coming off one of the very worst seasons in the teams history, the Sixers will be one of three teams, (Rockets and Heat) to play in both NBA summer leagues, Orlando, July 5-11, and in Las Vegas, July 11-15. Although he’s a second-year player, and current rookie of the year, it will be essential for point guard Michael Carter-Williams to blend with the many new faces expected to participate in these two leagues.

Most, if not all of this summer league action will be televised on NBA-TV. If by chance Andrew Wiggins should fall to the 76ers with the 3rd pick, you can be sure those games will have even more significance in the rebuilding of the franchise, and will be closely diagnosed in this blog in July.
