Sixers coach Brett Brown said Sunday that he doesn’t believe rookie center Jahlil Okafor (above) will be able to play tonight against the Jazz in Salt Lake City.
A sore right knee resulted in Okafor sitting out Saturday’s win over the Suns, opening up some more extended playing time for Jerami Grant and Richaun Holmes in the frontcourt. As of now, the Sixers aren’t intimating that Okafor’s injury is anything more than soreness, so a long-term absence probably won’t be in store for the rookie center.
