SIXERS MAY BRING BACK PHILLY NATIVE MARCUS MORRIS!

By Tommy Matthews

The Sixers have expressed interest in a reunion with free agent forward and Philly native Marcus Morris, multiple sources tell Keith Pompey of the Inquirer.

However, the 76ers aren’t the only team eyeing Morris.

The Pistons, Hornets, Cavaliers, Mavericks, Heat, and Timberwolves have all expressed some level of interest too.

The 6-8 Morris played 34 games with the Sixers last season and he averaged 6.7 points and 3 rebounds per game before he was traded to the Spurs.

Morris, who hails from North Philly, is a cofounder of the Family Over Everything Foundation, which provides programs for youth in underserved communities.

“I know they’re saying thank you to me, but I’m saying thank you to y’all,” Morris said.

“Because, Philly, I would be nothing without this city. Any team I’ve ever been on, any time I’ve been announced, they always say ‘from North Philadelphia.’”

Morris’ twin brother, Markieff Morris, who partners with him on many of his philanthropic efforts, also was honored.
