SIXERS JOJO IS RIGHT: ‘WE’RE NOT EVEN CLOSE TO WHERE WE COULD BE’!

By Art Beitchman

With the 76ers winning their 40th over the Bulls Monday night — the 5th straight victory with new guard James Harden running the point — Joel Embiid was asked about the start to the Harden era.

He shot back “We are not even close to where we could be”, a very scary prospect for a team averaging 125 points since the arrival of The Beard!

Harden stats since joining the team a couple weeks ago are off the charts:

24.6 ppg, 12.4 apg, 7.2 rpg, also helping Tyrese Maxey’s game with a plus 25 point average since being paired in the backcourt.

If Embiid is right and this team gets better before the playoffs start, it will be a team way good enough to win the NBA title this June for the first time since 1983.
