SIXERS JOJO EMBIID IS PLAYING LIKE THE NBA’S MVP — HANDS DOWN!

By Art Beitchman

Great things happen when a winning streak hits 7 games,

The 76ers get to make it 8 tonight at home versus the Charlotte Hornets with super center Joel Embiid playing the best basketball of his NBA career.

He’s connected for 7 straight 30-point games, with the last 4 hitting 31 points exactly, tying an NBA record only held by only one other player, HOFer Bob McAdoo, who pulled off that rare feat in 1973 with the Buffalo Braves.

Along with this sudden hot streak gets notice from the league — recently Embiid has joined the MVP parade behind only the Greek Freak, Kevin Durant, Nikola Jokic with his excellent all-around play, especially his ball handling skills and passing to easy hoops out of the double team.

With additional players coming back off COVID protocols, the Sixers look to keep rising in the Eastern Conference standings, with the hope they can unload Ben Simmons before the trade deadline giving them another piece to make a serious run at the NBA title come this spring.
