It’s a good thing Sixers center Joel Embiid is returning to action this weekend after missing nine games with COVID.
His replacement, Andre Drummond, scored a single point vs. the Warriors, adding 12 rebounds and two dimes in 27 minutes.
Embiid (protocols) is expected back on Saturday after a nine-game absence, so Drummond’s workload is about to come back down to earth.
He was still putting up late-round numbers as a reserve though, and we have to keep in mind that Embiid is simply going to miss a handful of games from time to time whether it’s another injury or just load management. That alone will keep Drummond relevant.
