CHECK THE VID: SIXERS JOJO AND WILT HAVE A LOT IN COMMON!

By Annie Ross

Joel Embiid became the first Sixers player since Wilt Chamberlain in 1967-68 season to average at least 36 points and 10 rebounds during seven road games.

This was after last night’s 34-point, 7-rebound explosion against the Nets.

He hit 11-of-23 shots on his way to a game-high 34 points, adding six rebounds, three steals, a block and an assist.

After rolling the Raptors Tuesday, Embiid went off for another huge game Thursday, beating the favored Nets on the road and posting his fifth 30-point effort over his last six games.

Embiid now has nine 30+ point double-doubles to his credit this season and is playing some of his best basketball of the 2021-22 campaign. He gets a highly favorable matchup Monday when the Sixers face the Rockets at Wells Fargo Center.
