SIXERS JOJO’S 31 AND 10: RAPS CAN’T STOP HIM, NO ONE CAN!

By Jerry Wein

Joel Embiid hit 9-of-16 shots, a 3-pointer and 12-of-14 free throws for 31 points and 11 rebounds in 37 minutes of the Sixers 112-97 win over the Raptors to take a 2-0 lead in the series.

He appeared to hyperextend his right elbow and the Raptors went on a run when he was on the bench nursing the injury.

He returned to play through it and didn’t sound too worried about it after the game.

Tyrese Maxey had 23 points, nine boards, eight assists, a steal, a block and three 3-pointers on 8-of-11 shooting, Tobias Harris had 20 and 10, and James Harden added 15 points, six rebounds, six assists, three steals, two blocks and a 3-pointer in the win.
