The NBA Rookie of the Year award is a one-man race, and it’s been just that since Sixer Joel Embiid stepped on the floor to make his NBA debut.
Averaging 18.2 points, 7.6 rebounds and 2.5 blocks in just 23.6 minutes as the Sixers continue to ease him into the action after undergoing two foot surgeries in two years, the award is his to lose.
For context, Karl-Anthony Towns averaged 18.5 points, 10.5 rebounds and 1.7 blocks in 32.0 minutes last season on his way to earning Rookie of the Year honors unanimously.
