“My life is a movie,” Embiid, 22, told The Undefeated. “I started playing basketball at 15, which was in 2011. Just coming to the States, not knowing anything, no English, not knowing anything about basketball. I always say my life is a movie because everything happened so fast.
“From coming to the States to sucking at basketball and getting scholarships and getting a chance to go to Kansas and getting a chance to be drafted No. 3 to getting injured and getting injured again. And finally, I get a chance to play. All of this in seven years. It’s been tough.”
