The Sixers host the Phoenix Suns tonight at the Wells, hoping to put their Sunday loss to the Celtics behind them.
The 76ers (6-39) have allowed at least 51 boards in four of their last six and have held a disadvantage on the glass in seven of eight. Seven opposing players have finished with at least 10 rebounds in the 76ers’ last three games.
After opening the season 1-30, Philly is 5-9 and has split its last four. However, the latest in that stretch was a step backward as the 76ers shot just 39.3 percent and committed 24 turnovers in Sunday’s 112-92 loss to Boston.
“That was a bad NBA game tonight from our standpoint,” coach Brett Brown said. “I don’t even know what team I coached tonight.”
The Sixers and Brooklyn Nets are the only teams in the Eastern Conference with single-digit wins at home, and the 76ers are a league-worst 3-17. Phoenix has lost 10 straight on the road to fall to 4-18 away from home.
