Sixers forward Danny Green, who is 35 years old and has a wrecked knee, said that he’ll be back by the All-Star break.
Green suffered a torn left ACL and LCL in the Game 6 loss to the Heat back on May 12, and he sounds confident that he’ll be back by February:
“I will be back for [the] All-Star break. You got to believe it. You heard it here first. So I will work my tail off to rehab to get back healthy.
“[m]y body and my bones usually heal pretty well. I don’t have any bad habits. So, yeah, I think I’ll be back in time to help a team in the playoff run and show and prove that I’m able to still play at that level to help a team get a win in the playoffs.”
The Sixers haven’t picked up the final year of his deal, and they have until July 1 to decide on the $10 million contract.
