SIXERS HARRIS SHOT 3-FOR 17: COVID EFFECT OR IS HE DONE?

By Jerry Wein

Sixers forward Tobias Harris shot 3 for 17, missing all five 3-point attempts last night against the Nets.

He played well in Wednesday’s loss to the Miami Heat as he scored 24 points on 9-for-18 shooting, but it could be that COVID is still affecting him.

“A little bit,” said Harris.

“I still feel like every day I have a cold, but honestly, I think that’s just what it is right now. When you’re playing the game and your body is taking on stress and stress from activity, but for me, it’s just fighting through and hopefully, progress over time. Obviously, this is something you don’t know too much about as a whole.”

Coach Doc Rivers said there was an organizational discussion about some unspecified policy changes to be more vigilant against the coronavirus.

Joel Embiid and Harris were sidelined by the virus earlier this season.

“We want to be the team with the least (cases),” Rivers said.

“We lead still, I think, in COVID games off. That one stretch was brutal for us and now other teams are going through it. So it’s no fun.”
