After last night’s 115-109 victory over the San Antonio Spurs, the 76ers open a 5 game home stand tomorrow night against the Pelicans.
Behind Joel Embiid’s barrage of 30-point games the Sixers have stayed within striking distance of the top spot in the competitive Eastern Conference. They’re only 2 1/2 games behind the Miami Heat.
Even with four players shelved with injuries, they managed to win 7 out of their last 10 games in the last couple of weeks behind their MVP candidate.
With tough teams to play in the next five at home, they need to get some of the walking wounded back:
Seth Curry, Danny Green, Shake Milton and Matisse Thybulle to rise in the conference standings this week.
