SIXERS BUTLER SEES WRIST DOC, EMBIID RESTING TODAY IN DENVER!

By Julie Glass

Sixers guard Jimmy Butler is seeing a specialist today in Los Angeles for his sprained right wrist, a move coach Brett Brown said is “precautionary.”

Butler has missed the Sixers’ past two games and is doubtful for today’s game in Denver.

In addition to the ailing Butler, the Sixers will open a four-game West Coast road trip without All-Star center Joel Embiid, who is being held out of an expected showdown against Nuggets big man Nikola Jokic due to planned rest.

The 76ers have won two straight and five of their past six ahead of an eight-game stretch that sees the team play the Nuggets and Lakers twice each, as well as the Warriors, Kings, Raptors and Celtics.
