The Sixers open as a 7-point fave Sunday in game 1 of their first-round series at the Wells.
And Philly is a -294 fave to win the series.
The Sixers have had an incredible season and are favorites to go through the Eastern Conference and challenge for the title.
They have an extremely sturdy defense to go with an offense featuring Joel Embiid, Ben Simmons, and Seth Curry.
The Sixers have worked hard to get that first seed, and they’ll be looking to make short work of the Wizards in their quest to progress toward the title. With the combination of an amazing roster, high motivation, and great form (they have a record of 8-2 in the last 10 games) for the Sixers, the Wizards will not be taking this game lightly.
However, the Wizards themselves are in cracking form now, with the loss to the Celtics a rare blip in an otherwise great run of victories. Westbrook and Beal have been playing well since ending their injury issues, and will be looking to make a major impact from now on.
Tactically, the Wizards will be an exciting matchup for the Sixers, presenting an interesting problem in the shape of star players combined with support that can easily cause issues for the otherwise stellar Philly defense.
