SIMMONS (23, 8, 5) ROUNDING INTO SHAPE FOR SIXERS ON TUESDAY!

By Sally Fahey

Ben Simmons flashed back to his Sixers days, finishing with 22 points (11-for-13 FGs), eight rebounds, five assists, one steal and five turnovers in the Nets 127-117 win over Memphis.

After starting the season with an absolute refusal to shoot the basketball, Simmons has put together back-to-back performances that reminded us of his talent.

The turnovers weren’t great in this game, and he still isn’t helping with threes or free throws, but he has averaged 18.5 points, 10.5 rebounds, and 6.0 assists over his last two games.

He also performed well with Kyrie Irving back in the lineup, which is a good sign for the rest of the year. We’ll see if he can keep things going in Philadelphia on Tuesday through all the boos.
