Sixers center Joel Embiid was sick as a dog yesterday.
In case you doubt that, check how many times he bent over and pulled at his shorts, a clear sign he was out of breath.
But he put up 27 points (7-of-25 FGs, 13-of-17 FTs), 19 rebounds, six assists, one steal, and six blocked shots in the Sixers 110-105 win over the Grizzlies.

Embiid missed all five of his 3-point attempts and shot less than 30% from the field, but the overall stat line more than made up for that.
He fell one rebound shy of his first 20/20 game of the season, while the six blocks were one fewer than his season-high.
Still shooting 53% from the field, Embiid is ranked second in 9-cat, per-game value and remains a contender for MVP honors. He’ll obviously have better shooting nights, as few teams boast a frontcourt defender on par with Memphis’ Jaren Jackson Jr.
